I LOVE PETIT Gallop is the best summer camp ever! It was sooo much fun.
There were so many activities. And you really get to know all the horses in the barn! I give Petit Galop two thumbs up and encourage any one who is uneasy about going there or sending their kids there to give it a try.

We had a perfect experience at Petit Galop. Delia, who was only eight last summer and had never been to sleepaway camp, was scheduled for two weeks and stayed for four. She was ecstatic about her experience – learned about taking care of horses and their different personalities, made great progress in her riding, loved the family feeling of the camp, was completely comfortable with Esther and Gilles. She took pride in her responsibilities, and genuinely knows a huge amount about horses and their behavior. She is begging to go for the whole summer this year. Mark and I could not have been more impressed when we visited, a total of three or four times, I think. And Delia has also been back for two weekends because she missed the horses, the beautiful land, and Esther. We feel absolutely blessed to have found the camp. All best, Nan Graham

Our twins love it so much they would like to move there. They forgo traditional birthday parties to have a weekend there in the Spring. Last summer they spent four weeks and would like to go again this summer for longer. The camp is very special and lovely and the kids simply love it. It is small and it is focused on horses so if you are looking for a traditional camp with lots of campers and other activities, this may not be for you daughter. It is not only focused on riding but on everything horses. If your daughter loves being around horses, playing with them, feeding them, taking care of them and riding them she will love it.

Our daughter Gillian is 10 and had never been to sleep away camp. She went for the first two week session at the beginning of the summer. The first few nights were a bit weepy, but Ester worked Gillian through it over a two day period with a call to us only once. Esther was very kind and gentle and Gilles was very supportive too. After that Gillian was fine. We visited at the middle of the 2 week session and were very impressed by how the girls had settled in, enjoying the routine taking care of the horses and watching a lesson. The riding arena is nice and large with plenty of room for both flat work and jumping. We also appreciated the high level of cleanliness, the level of supervision (both on and off the horses), the quality of the horses and top condition of the tack, and the good food and meals -- served family style. Even the non-equine events were good experiences -- visits into Goshen to see the historic track and trotters over the 4th of July and going swimming at Bear Mountain State Park. Gillian had such a good time she went back for the one week session at the end of the summer and spent a weekend there in the Fall. Over the winter Gillian has enjoyed seeing the Petit Galop website where she and new summer friends were featured. We plan to return to Petit Galop this summer. It is a great program for children that love horses and the outdoors! As with the other parent's comments, let us know if there is something more specific you would like to know. With kind regards, Page Cowley

Dear, Carli, Esther, Gilles and Lauren: How are the kittens doing? I really miss Malcolm so much. When I come back I'd like to ride Malcolm. He is the best pony at that barn. Your barn is the best barn in the world. I can't wait to come up for the weekend and the summer. I also miss your food, you have the best food. How are all of the ponies? How is Lou, Decker, Jeremy, Boss? Can you give them all a kiss for me, including Malcolm? Love, Alexandra

Dear Esther, Gille and Carli, I love Granny Fox Farm and I can't wait to go back there for a weekend and for the summer. I want to go for nine weeks next summer but my mom says she will miss me too much and so I can only go for four weeks. I miss Pippin so much. I cried the night I came back because I missed him so much. Can you please give him a kiss for me? love, Sofia
